A Workplace Must
As workplace safety continues to become an ever-increasing priority for businesses, having the best protection is a must.
Safety Is A Priority
Across many industries, safety is a top priority, and having the right footwear is essential. Most workplaces require site work boots to be worn when entering specific areas or buildings, and knowing which ones are right for you can be tricky with so many options.
The right kind of footwear can protect against serious injuries such as broken bones and torn ligaments caused by impact or penetration. There are so many different features when it comes to footwear, and the fit has got to be correct, or the protection they offer will be reduced.
Whether you are searching for standard boots for working, waterproof safety footwear, or footwear to an EN standard or brand, our full range can be found on our online shop - Online Safety Supplies.
Preventing Workplace Accidents
According to HSE statistical analysis, 196,910 (29%) of accidents in 2016/17 were caused by slips. Some of these could have been prevented with correct footwear. Getting the right footwear will make life safer and easier.

Safety Footwear UK Standards
The safety footwear standard is referred to as EN ISO 20345. The EN ISO 20345 standard sets out the minimum requirements that safety footwear must be successfully tested against.
EN ISO 20345 is broken down into 8 distinct sections, and we have safety footwear specifically for each section. Different materials protect against different hazards and risks. Our protective boots and footwear are broken down into the different sections of the standard so you can clearly see what each boot or shoe protects against.

Footwear FAQs
Are aluminium toe boots as safe as steel toe?
Yes! Both aluminium-toe and steel-toe boots are manufactured to the same EN ISO standards and tests. The key difference is weight.
Are composite toe and steel toe the same?
Composite toe and steel toe are not the same. Composite toe boots are made from materials such as Kevlar and carbon fibre, resulting in lighter boots. However, to meet the same safety standards as traditional steel-toe-cap boots, composite materials must be thicker and therefore may cost more.
What makes shoes slip resistant?
A specially designed tread pattern and heel angle are paired with specific rubber compounds to create a slip-resistant shoe or boot. Rubber compounds can include polyurethane or synthetic blends, and each design is tested to official slip tests for surface types and oils.
