The FireShield LFX Lithium-Ion Battery Fire Extinguisher is a fluorine-free solution designed specifically to tackle fires involving lithium-ion batteries. Available in 3 litre, 6 litre and 9 litre capacities, every model is UKCA/CE approved, manufactured to BS EN 3 standards, and supplied with a 5-year warranty. The 6 litre and 9 litre models also hold NTA 8133 certification, providing additional assurance of their performance against lithium-ion battery fires.

Ideal for environments where lithium-ion batteries are in regular use, these extinguishers are well suited to offices, schools, retail premises, workshops, repair centres, warehouses, supermarkets and residential properties. They are particularly beneficial in locations where e-bikes, e-scooters, hoverboards, cordless power tools, laptops, tablets and other rechargeable devices are stored or charged.

The extinguisher uses an advanced water-based extinguishing agent that is discharged as an endothermic foam. This rapidly cools overheating battery cells, interrupts the thermal runaway process and absorbs significantly more heat than water alone. In addition to suppressing battery fires, it is also effective against surrounding Class A combustible materials, helping to prevent secondary fires caused by burning or exploding battery packs.

To ensure the correct level of protection, the range is available for lithium-ion battery-powered devices rated up to 300Wh with the 3-litre model and up to 600Wh with the 6 litre and 9 litre models.
