FireChief Automatic Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher

The Firechief Automatic Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher provides automatic fire suppression for enclosed spaces where a fire may not be discovered straight away. It is suitable for use on Class A, B and C fires and can also be used on live electrical equipment.

A common application is the engine compartment of boats, commercial vehicles and other machinery. Once the surrounding temperature reaches 68°C, the heat-sensitive glass bulb ruptures, automatically releasing the dry powder extinguishing agent. The sprinkler-style discharge head is designed to spread the powder throughout the protected compartment.

This type of extinguisher is often chosen for enclosed areas with little or no regular occupancy, where relying on someone to spot a fire quickly may not be practical. To achieve the intended level of protection, each compartment should be fitted with its own automatic extinguisher.

Routine visual checks are simple thanks to the integrated pressure gauge, while the supplied hanging bracket allows the unit to be mounted overhead within the protected space.
