Fire safety equipment has traditionally been purely functional, until now. The Contempo Polished Luxury Water Fire Extinguisher marks a genuine industry-first for Fire Protection Shop, combining effective Class A fire protection with a striking, elegant finish that complements rather than compromises modern interior design.
Water-based and specifically suited to Class A risk areas containing combustible materials, this extinguisher is built with stainless steel, one of the most corrosion-resistant materials available, meaning it holds up to demanding environments without losing its polished appearance. It's a natural fit for modern bars, restaurants, luxury hotels, and contemporary offices, where mandatory fire equipment can now double as a genuine design feature rather than an eyesore.
Available in 6ltr and 9ltr capacities, every unit is UKCA/CE approved and manufactured to BS EN3, having passed a 35kV conductivity test for added assurance. A super strong base skirt offers extra protection, while simple squeeze grip operation and easy servicing keep it practical for everyday use. Backed by a 5-year warranty, the Contempo Water Extinguisher proves fire safety equipment can be something you're proud to display.
Please note: the handle on this extinguisher is stainless steel.

Frequently asked questions
A. Water fire extinguishers are designed to combat fires involving combustible solids, such as wood, cloth and paper. The water extinguishant agent cools the fire by reducing its temperature below the ignition point of organic materials while simultaneously depriving it of oxygen. Water fire extinguishers pose no toxic threat and can be used safely in areas where food is present as well as near children or other vulnerable people such as the elderly.
A. The labels on water extinguishers are red, making them easy to distinguish from other types of extinguishers. The word 'water' will be printed in large white letters across the label.
A. Water fire extinguishers are commonly found in schools, hospitals, office buildings, apartments, shops, paper mills, storage units, textile factories and general warehouses.
A. Water fire extinguishers have no negative environmental impact. The difficulty when disposing of fire extinguisher tubing makes them sometimes considered hazardous waste.
A. Refilling water extinguishers is a cheap and simple method. We recommend larger water fire extinguishers, even when fighting smaller fires.
A. All our portable fire extinguishers are supplied ready for use, but those with larger capacities may need to be filled and charged prior to the first time they’re used. The product listing will explain this clearly.
A. No, a traditional water fire extinguisher should never be used around electrical equipment as water and electricity does NOT mix. The only exception is ‘water mist’ that has been tested and passed the di-electrical conductivity test which marks them as safe for use on live electrical equipment up to 1,000V.
